Jinfan Chinese Orchestra of the High School Attached to Tsinghua University held a welcome concert for teachers and students in Kagoshima, Japan
On the afternoon of October 28, 2016, under the leadership of Mr. Hu Jun, director of the office and conductor of the orchestra, 43 students from the Jifan Chinese Orchestra of Tsinghua High School held a welcoming concert for 26 teachers and students from the visiting Kagoshima Education Bureau in the Folk music Rehearsal Hall。
The concert began with a welcome ceremony presided over by Mr. Hu Jun,之后,Mr. Hu Jun conducted the orchestra to perform the classical folk music "Dragon Leaps and Tiger Leaps", "Yao Dance", "Harvest Festival" and other pieces for the Japanese teachers and students,期间,Mr. Hu Jun also introduced Chinese Musical Instruments such as Erhu, pipa, flute, suona, drum and gong to the visiting teachers and students。

After that, the orchestra played the famous Russian work "Flight of the Wild Bee" adapted by teacher Hu Jun, which the orchestra had just rehearsed for the performance at the United Nations Headquarters. This world-famous song was of great technical difficulty. The students' wonderful performance with almost no mistakes won warm applause from the visiting teachers and students。
The highlight of the concert is "The Flag of Our Fathers will always Fly in the South China Sea", which was created by teacher Hu Jun for the frontline troops of the South China Sea Fleet in July this year. This is the second official performance of this work, which is an important reflection of the national feelings of the Jifan Chinese Orchestra of the High School Attached to Tsinghua University。The students of the orchestra, full of patriotism, put their utmost passion to play the song, and when the last strong long note was over, the audience burst into bursts of applause。
The orchestra finally played the "Celebration Overture", which pushed the welcome concert to a climax。

After the welcome concert, the Chinese and Japanese teachers and students had extensive exchanges and exchanged gifts。Yang Yifan, the third grade student of the orchestra, introduced the study and life of the students of the Affiliated High School to the Japanese students。The Japanese students introduced the general situation of Kagoshima, Japan to the students of the Affiliated High School, and introduced the food and students' study in Kagoshima to the Chinese students. The Chinese and Japanese students also discussed some similarities and differences in life, tried on each other's uniforms, and left each other's phone numbers or wechat numbers to facilitate future contact。
Visiting Japanese students introduce Japanese food culture to Chinese students
Every year on October 14 is the "Golden Sail Day", which is the day of the establishment of the Golden Sail Group of Beijing students. The Beijing Municipal Education Commission requires the city's Golden Sail Group to hold socially meaningful performances in October and November every year, to show the achievements of Beijing's art education and promote the spirit of Beijing Golden Sail Group。

The Education Bureau of Kagoshima Prefecture in Japan is the enrollment cooperation unit of Tsinghua University in Japan, and organizes Kagoshima teachers and students to study and inspect Tsinghua University every year。Each welcome ceremony and exchange task is led by Tsinghua University and arranged by the Foreign Affairs Department of Tsinghua University。
