Jinfan Chinese Orchestra of the High School Affiliated to Tsinghua University participated in the 9th American International Art Festival and won a good result

On the West Coast of the United States, from January 26 to 31, 2016 local time, the ninth annual "American International Arts Festival Handshake over the Ocean" was held in San Francisco。In the first and second months of the Junior High School Affiliated to Tsinghua University, a team of 26 youth League cadres, led by Mr. Hu Jun, director of the orchestra office, participated in the activity, which not only successfully held a performance on the theme of promoting traditional Chinese culture, but also achieved fruitful results in the orchestra competition held later。其中,Jinfan Chinese Orchestra of the High School Affiliated to Tsinghua University won the "Best Performance Technology Gold Medal" of the festival;The instrumental ensemble "My South Tibet" performed by the orchestra won the "First prize of the Band Competition";Yuan Huidi of the orchestra "Jingkun Society" won the first prize of drama singing for "Drunken Concubine";The small percussion ensemble "Horse Lantern Dance" won the second prize。At the same time, Mr. Hu Jun won the excellent conductor award;Hu Jun's work "My South Tibet" won the Excellent Creation award。The Consulate in the United States also awarded the "Sino-American Cultural Ambassadors" award to each member of the Affiliated High School Chinese Orchestra。

More than 390 Chinese and American students from California Youth Chinese Orchestra, Silicon Valley United Choir, Feiyang International Art Center, Zhongguancun Three Primary Art Troupe, Hebei Zhengding Middle School Art Troupe, Shanxi University Affiliated High School "Dream Sound" Art Troupe and Tsinghua University Affiliated High School Jinfan Chinese Orchestra participated in the three-day exchange, performance and competition activities。

Tsinghua Chinese Orchestra was founded in 2002. After 13 years of development, with the encouragement and help of Beijing Municipal Education Commission, Haidian District Education Commission and Tsinghua Affiliated High School, it has now become a mature student Chinese orchestra with complete vocal structure, diverse performance styles, and its own playing styles and compositions。Orchestra teachers and students focus on patriotic education,With the love of folk music culture,秉承毛泽东同志“延安文艺座谈会讲话”精神,Follow Tsinghua University's academic philosophy of "self-improvement, moral commitment",To "inherit traditional music culture,Guide the national cultural orientation "as their own responsibility,Give full play to the role of "seeding machine" and "propaganda team" of culture and art,Expressing the aspirations of Chinese youth in the world language of music has become one of the characteristics of the orchestra。In the past 13 years, the orchestra has organized more than 100 community, overseas and special performances, showcasing China's excellent traditional music culture to nearly 100,000 Chinese and foreign audiences。

As part of the orchestra's "Be a Golden Sail man, cast the soul of the Nation" series of education, the orchestra office arranges the New Year's first year players to participate in art competitions or exchange activities every holiday, in order to urge these students who will become the main players of the orchestra to strengthen technical practice, increase cooperation awareness, and accumulate performance experience。
